Reading Challenge

On Friday 21st June, school will be having a reading celebration day. On this
day, there will be 3 events taking place:
1. For a £1 donation, children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book
character and they are asked to bring the book with that character in to share with their class.
Please ensure books have the child’s name inside.
2. Sponsored reading: the children will be bringing home a sponsorship form so they can collect
sponsors for the number of minutes read during the week. Please see the letter attached to see
how school will be able to use all proceeds from the sponsored event to purchase books for
each classroom.
3. Story Time Fancy Dress Disco after school – see attached flyer for more details
We are sure you will agree that this day will not only be a lot of fun for the children, but it will also
raise the status of reading and support us in raising valuable funds to stock our class libraries.
